Together with Mr. Lewis and Robert McHatton, Kluge also owned the Gypsum Mercantile Co. store at Gypsum. Lewis bought out Kluge's interest in the Eagle store.

Margaret worked for Holy Cross Electric Association for 18 years at their Eagle office. She also collected bills for Rocky Mountain Natural Gas from 1971 to 1981. She collected payments, posted deposits and meter readings, filled out work orders, took calls and cleaned the office.
