Distant view of the Peterson Creek tramway, used to transport lumber from the Peterson Creek sawmill to the railroad at the bottom of the Eagle River Canyon. The picture was taken from the Champion Mine at Bell's Camp. The steep terrain is testimony to the difficulty in logging in this area.

Moving mining timber at the surface level near the main shaft at Gilman. Timber was stored outside until needed in the mine and loaded vertically into the main cage for unloading on 16 level.

Warren Sawmill on Turkey Creek in Red Cliff. Warren provided some of the mining timber for the mine at Gilman. The timber is being moved through the saw on a cart riding on tracks. The saw had an attachment used to make a special cut that allowed the mining timbers to quickly be put together in the mine. Ike Dump is closest to the camera on the right, feeding logs into the saw.
