"The Pioneer bridge across the Grand River [Colorado River] five miles above State Bridge was built by Doug Wilmont, John Winslow, Gus Hoyt and Tim Mugrage in 1900. The Eagle Lumber Co. loading shed for the Denver & Rio Grand railroad at Peterson Creek gulch in the Eagle River Canyon (about .5 mi. from Red Cliff and 2 mi. from Belden).
