Lorraine and Harley Higbie met skiing in Zermatt, Switzerland. Harley Higbie was an original member of the Vail Associates Board of Directors and Lorraine Higbie was active with the boards of Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, Denver Botanic Garden and Denver Art Museum. They were early residents of Vail and active in the community's life and activities.
