Hired in January of 1963, Jim "JC" Clarke was a member of the original Vail Ski Patrol. Ski patrol personnel of that era needed to be game for new experiences and a jack-of-all-trades. Kevin Foley served on the Vail Town Council for twenty-three years. His town council terms of service were 1995 to 2001, 2009 to 2013 and 2015 to 2023. In his inaugural town council bid in 1995, Foley was the top vote-getter. Pete Seibert Jr. described the aftermath of his father's (Pete Seibert Sr.) late 1950s trek up No Name Mountain with Earl Eaton. The duo looked at a large subalpine area apparently cleared by forest fires in the late 19th century. This area later became the Back Bowls of Vail Mountain.
Seibert recalled a humorous interlude at Williams Cafe in Minturn that his father related to him.

Rob LeVine served on the Vail Town Council from 1989 to 1993. During his tenure, Vail town engineer, Greg Hall, and transportation consultant, Arnie Ullevig, proposed a creative solution to traffic backups at Vail's former four-way stop off I-70.
LeVine discussed the controversy and resolution of Vail's initial roundabout. It has been described as the first modern roundabout in North America.

Bill Heicher and Bill Andree established legacies as District Wildlife Managers with the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW).
Heicher began with Colorado Game, Fish and Parks Department (later DOW) and served the Eagle District from 1971 until 2003. Andree began with the DOW in 1980 and served the Vail District from 1981 until 2018. Circa 2012, the DOW evolved into Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
